Some of you may have been anxioiusly waiting for some updates...

So your wish is my command!(Applause)

First off, I want to remind everyone the dates of this incredible event we have so patiently waited for; But before I continue, I want to tell everyone Thank you. Thank you for giving your support and your patience, because boy do we have some fantastic things in store for you. (Cheers from beyond)

The Main Event before the Main Event (talking of Quakecon there) begins May 23rd, 2009 at 5:00pm. My honest suggestion to all of you who already registered is to first and foremost go back to your registration and reserve which seats it is that you want.

To reserve your seat:
- Register for the LAN
- Click on "map"
- Click on the seat you would like, and then click "sit down"

My next suggestion is to get yourselves and your PC's to HyperGamez early enough to secure your spots in line to be absolutely sure you get the seat you desginated for yourself and maybe even other members of your clan. You might be wondering why I say this; well, at 7:00pm your reserved seat is no longer designated for you and will be handed to the next Gamer in line that has been waiting ever so patiently for his calling to come. (Queue the Boo'ing)

Okay, now that I have reminded you all of the date that this whole thing is to commence on, and I have advised you of the utmost importance of reserving your seat and getting there ahead of time, it is time to talk about the Tournaments. So, you all need to know how to signup for the Tournaments...

- Register for lan
- Go to Tournaments
- click "Join the Tournament" for each one you want to join
Keep in mind as well, Team Tournaments can be signed up as a pick player without a team or by having one person create a team, and the other person joining.

Now, it is an absolute MUST that you register for the event even if you are not bringing a computer and you are ONLY attending the tournaments. After you have signed up, you will then need to email staff@thetexangamer.com to let us (The Staff) know that you are in fact not going to BYOC but you are going to partake in the Tournaments. This makes your registration check-in easier on you as well as the staff and the other attendees waiting in line behind you.

Some of you may be wondering what game servers are going to be available to you for your gaming pleasure... Well, this just in as I am creating this Grand Press Release, Official Game Servers are:

As we always do, we order pizza during the event. Some of you may be asking, "How do I order pizza?", well it's easy. If you are registered for the event:
-Go to www.lan.thetexangamer.com
-Login
-Click on "want some pizza?"'
Here you will input what you want and click on "add pizza order". Easy as pie!
Also I would like to point out when you first login to The Texan Gamer, you will also see a link for Restaurants. Thanks to Daame, you now have a list of other restaurants in the area in case you don't want pizza.

Now, for other news, a complete schedule has been posted on The Texan Gamer website for your viewing pleasure. The schedule includes what bands will be on when, and when the Tournaments begin. Watch out for the Finale as this is a huge display including sponsors, Tournament winners, and the Final Band playing afterwards.

If you haven't noticed already, we have sponsors listed for the event including Starbucks which will be passing out free coffee to all attendees to restore your super human lanning capabilities. We also have Blockbuster, Pizza Hut, and of course Bawls. (Queue Applause)

And finally, it is my pleasure as previously announced, Short Bus Kids Radio and Nerdfit Radio have joined forces with your Host Buggles and her guest host Ceppy, to bring you everything live ONAIR in case you can't be there or if you want to be able to sit at your seat during the event to listen to awesome music, interviews and the Tournaments. All links for the streams will be posted the day of event, May 23rd, 2009. We are fully prepared to bring you the best of the best during this event.
